After the bath, your dog is gently hand blow-dried and thoroughly brush-out in a calm, cage-free space. This relaxed environment helps reduce stress and ensures your dog stay comfortable throughout.
Our experienced groomer then tidies the coat outline, feet, and hygiene areas, using light scissor work to maintain the coat’s natural texture and structure. This helps preserve the coat’s health and function, just as nature intended.
The service also includes a nail trim, ear cleanse, and hygiene tidy, finished with a light spritz of our signature scent, so your dog leaves feeling refreshed, happy, and ready to shine.

The listed prices represent starting rates for small, medium, and large dogs, with breed examples for size reference. Final pricing may vary based on coat condition and temperament, which influence the appointment duration and overall cost.
Each grooming session is tailored to your dog’s specific needs, including size, coat condition, and behaviour. On average, a Full Groom for double-coated breeds takes about 2 hours. We’ll provide an estimated collection time when you drop off your dog and will notify you ahead of time if there are any changes.
If your dog has mats, there’s no need to worry. Our expert groomers will carefully assess the situation and discuss the best course of action with you. As our top priority is always your dog’s well-being, we do not offer de-matting services. In most cases, mats will be gently shaved out to prevent discomfort and maintain the health of your dog’s coat.
Double-coated breeds typically require a Full Groom every 6 to 8 weeks to maintain a healthy coat. Regular grooming is important to remove loose undercoat and prevent mats, which helps keep your dog comfortable and looking their best. We do not offer clipping or styling for double-coated breeds, as it is detrimental to their coat. Double-coated dogs rely on their unique coat structure for temperature regulation, insulation, and protection from the elements. Cutting or clipping the coat compromises these functions and can lead to skin issues, discomfort, or coat damage. At Hackney Barkers we focus on enhancing the natural texture and health of the coat, ensuring it stays functional and beautiful.
